Lawrence Kuhn
Head of Segment Plastics
Lawrence Kuhn has been in charge of the MEA region for Bühler’s Optical Sorting division since 2013. In his role, he has been responsible for defining and implementing the Business Development Strategy a long with Sales for this region.
Lawrence joined Bühler in 2005 and has carried out a number of Sales functions including responsibility for Eastern and Western Europe dealing with a wide range of sorting applications.
Nitish Gupta
Product Manager
Nitish Gupta is Global Product Manager of Optical Sorting, Digital Technologies for Plastics Wheat & Rye, and Grains and Pulses.One of his core responsibilities is to develop and launch innovative and state of the art optical sorters for sorting food grains and plastics. He is a computer science engineer by training, an experienced manager and holds MBA and PhD.
Alessandra Zampieri
Project leader Data Analytics & Services
With a customer-focused and agile approach, Alessandra has managed to develop new digital solutions aimed at improving the sorting process and achieving high quality standards. She is passionate about sustainability and proudly embraces Bühler mission: innovations for a better world.
Alessandra joined the company as Data Analyst in the Supply Chain team, then gained experience in connectivity and remote support projects within the Customer Service department. She holds a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering with Management from Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
Jason Stockdale
Applications Engineer
Jason Stockdale focused his studies on design engineering but has since opted for a career in a more practical, hands-on role, and is now the developing Applications Engineer for the Plastic Sector here at BUKL.
He is responsible for testing Sortex machines against different plastic applications as well as assisting with sales and customer queries from a technical viewpoint.
Desmond Pereira
Project Manager Research & Development
Desmond joined Buhler is 2000 as an Electronic Hardware Engineer and was part of the team that delivered the (successful?) Sortex Z machine.
He has a Bachelor of honours degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Desmond developed many of the camera & peripheral PCBs used in the sorting machines, before becoming a team leader and then a project manager. He has delivered many projects including the E1E sorting machine.
