Adrian Griffiths,  Recycling Technologies

Adrian is an enthusiastic supporter of the “waste to resource” transformation, with a huge passion to make a difference to the story of plastic. Being a successful entrepreneur he formed Recycling Technologies with a mission to make all plastic recyclable.
He studied mechanical engineering at Imperial, spent many years within the automotive, then aerospace sectors. This mass production experience lead to a novel approach to the problem of plastic with the solution being a mass producible machine that can be located in waste centres around the globe returning all plastics to an oil suitable as the feedstock for making more plastic. With over twenty years experience as a management consultant, he appreciates the need for such ventures to make sound commercial sense as well as providing an environmental service.

Richard Howard, Policy Exchange

Richard Howard joined Policy Exchange in 2014 as Head of the Environment & Energy Unit. He has since produced a number of influential reports on topics including: energy policy and regulation, new energy technologies, fuel poverty, air quality, waste management, and industrial strategy. He recently produced a major report arguing that following Brexit, the UK should develop its own approach to waste policy rather than adopting the EU’s proposed Circular Economy Package. Richard has more than 10 years’ experience in energy and environmental policy, economics, and government affairs. His last role was as Chief Economist at The Crown Estate, and prior to that he worked as an economic consultant.
