Richard Bladon, Rehau
Richard has been with REHAU for more than 23 years and has worked within the Health, Safety and Environmental field for more than 20 years in conjunction with roles in Production and Administration within the two UK Factories. Since 2007 his responsibilities have extended to operations in Nordic Countries and South Africa. Richard is a Chartered Health & Safety Practitioner, a member of the BPF Industrial Health & Safety Committee and the SIMPL Steering Committee. He has recently worked with the HSE to update the Plastic Sector Guidance and is tasked to engage with the UPVC Window Manufacturing Industry in order promote health & safety as a business benefit.

Mike Jones, Distrupol
Mike has worked for Distrupol Ltd for over 30 years in a number of commercial, technical and production rolls. He has been responsible for health, safety and quality in Distrupol for the last 16 years and while maintaining his responsibility for Distrupol, is now working for the Univar group where he has regional responsibly for health and safety. Believing that no one should come to work and expect to be injured, Mike is a keen advocate
of continual improvement in risk reduction and of the importance of influencing behavioural change as the key to improvement in safety performance.
Mike is a committed member of the BPF IHS Committee and was appointed as chairperson in 2011.

Phil Martin, Fire Industry Association

Phil entered the fire safety industry in the 1970’s. During his career he has worked for several high profile companies and has been involved in Fire Detection and Alarm, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Safety Signs, Extinguishing Systems, Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Training.

Phil has been a quality manager, internal auditor, project engineer, systems designer, surveyor, estimator, commissioning engineer, service engineer, service supervisor, fire risk assessor and trainer.  In these roles he has been responsible for several third party accreditation schemes, commercial and technical training of sales and engineering staff and writing technical support material.

Chris Mutch, M & S Water Supplies
Chris began his working life at the Swiss chemical giant Ciba-Geigy. For the first eight years of his working life, Chris’s involvement with plastics was primarily into research and development for chemical plasticisers for PVC and combined flame retardant chemicals for several other polymer this resulted in Ciba-Geigy’s success with patent products such as the reo-flex and reo-plex lines.

In 1979 Chris was seconded into the Ciba-Gigey water treatment division and worked in general water treatment but more particular from 1982 in Legionella. After leaving Ciba –Giney Chris joined the American water treatment company Drew Ameroid.

In 1986 Chris moved to the UK based water treatment company Houseman but by 1988 Chris along with his good friend John Stiles founded M & S Water Services Limited and over the past 25 years have specialised in providing water treatment products and services to a number of clients throughout the UK with particular emphasis on plastics manufacturers particularly extrusion plant, injection and blow moulders. Chris became Managing Director of M & S Water Services Limited in 2009.

Kirsty Storer, Health and Safety Executive
Kirsty Storer has worked for HSE for over 11 years. She began as a regulatory inspector in Kent inspecting agriculture, wood and food premises. Moving to Sheffield 6 years ago she worked as a regulatory inspector inspecting general manufacturing and engineering premises.  She also had responsibility for inspecting docks, auditing NHS trusts and other large public sector bodies. Kirsty moved from being a general inspector in October 2009 to the manufacturing sector taking the national portfolio for the paper industry.  In June 2011 she also took over the national portfolio for the plastics industry and took responsibility from HSE's perspective for the SIMPL initiative.

Jim Wilkes, Zurich 
Jim has spent his working career in the head offices of Zurich Insurance and Eagle Star Insurance concentrating on casualty risks for all sectors of the economy from SMEs to Multi National Companies. He has sat on various ABI working parties and regularly represents Zurich in meetings with regulators and others relevant to risk issues. He has a particular interest in the Risk issues, Risk Management, the role of Corporate Governance and Organisational structures in controlling risks,  and the impact of compensation systems on influencing individual and organisational behaviours and responses'.

Barbara Wilson, Clarity Healthcare
Barbara is a highly qualified, experienced and flexible Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental professional with a broad knowledge of all issues including relevant legislation. With over 30 years of experience, Barbara has worked in various industries and provided support at all management levels. Barbara’s experience includes all aspects of Occupational Health, manufacturing processes and participation in auditing to the relevant quality standards.
