Mike Jones, Distrupol Mike has worked for Distrupol Ltd for over 30 years in a number of commercial, technical and production rolls. He has been responsible for health, safety and quality in Distrupol for the last 15 years and while maintaining his responsibility for Distrupol, is now working for the Univar group where he has regional responsibly for health and safety. Believing that no one should come to work and expect to be injured, Mike is a keen advocate of continualimprovement in risk reduction and of the importance of influencing behavioural change asthe key to improvement in safety performance. Mike is a committed member of the BPF HIS Committee and was appointed as chairperson in 2011. |

Peter Kirkham, Billion UK Peter began working in the plastics industry with GPG International in Dunstable in 1982. Peter moved from there to Billion in 1984 as a Service Engineer and has been there ever since, finally becoming Managing Director in 2001. In his time with Billion UK, he has built up a loyal and close knit team who are well known and highly motivated to help their customers |

Mark Liddle, Health and Safety Laboratory Mark Liddle is a member of the Health and Safety Laboratory’s (HSL) Falls Prevention Team. He and his colleagues have undertaken extensive research and numerous accident investigations to identify the causes of slips, trips and falls. Based on the findings of this work, the team has developed a number good practice guides, training courses, and interactive tools to aid understanding and to help assess slip, trip and fall risks and identify suitable interventions. |

Davy Snowdon, Pristine Condition Davy Snowdon is a former British Weightlifting association coach. At the Olympic games in Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996, he was selected as the Expert Strength, Conditioning and Power Coach, advising to all 32 of Team GB’s Olympic sports teams. Himself, a former World Record holder entered into the Guinness Book of Records in 1992, he was appointed National Coach to Great Britain's Women's Weightlifting team. As a BWLA Staff Coach, he was responsible for the training of many of their coaches and was also an expert lecturer and teacher in all of the core subjects essential in successful training programmes, advising numerous sports’ Governing Bodies in the process. His wide knowledge of applied anatomy, kinetics and exercise physiology has enabled him, in conjunction with his own ability as a Weightlifter, to apply these principles to all branches of activity in sport, general fitness and in the essential areas of Health and Safety in Industry. |

Kirsty Storer, HSE Kirsty Storer has worked for HSE for over 12 years. She began as a regulatory inspector in Kent inspecting agriculture, wood and food premises. Moving to Sheffield 6 years ago she worked as a regulatory inspector inspecting general manufacturing and engineering premises. She also had responsibility for inspecting docks, auditing NHS trusts and other large public sector bodies. Kirsty moved from being a general inspector in October 2009 to the manufacturing sector taking the national portfolio for the paper industry. In June 2011 she also took over the national portfolio for the plastics industry and took responsibility from HSE's perspective for the SIMPL initiative. |
