Sam Anson, Medical in Plastics News
Sam Anson is managing editor of Medical Plastics News. Sam has been working as a journalist in the plastics industry since March 2010, having edited European Plastic Product Manufacturer (EPPM), British Plastics & Rubber, Middle Eastern Plastics and most recently Medical Plastics News. His editorship of the latter began when the magazine started in 2011. Sam had a pivotal role in defining the title’s editorial structure prior to launch. Before working in the plastics industry Sam was a contributing editor and analyst for five years at Textiles Intelligence, a provider of business information and analysis about the international textile and clothing industry.

Ole Grundal Handel, PVCMed Alliance
For the last 17 years Ole has been general manager of PVC Information Council DK. Since 2012 Ole has been Project Manager of The PVCMed Alliance: The European PVC industry chain platform for dialogue about the use of PVC in health care. Ole also has interest in modern PVC design and art and has written articles of different issues related to PVC. He is a member of the European PVC Network and an advisory board member of medical Device Technology, he is also a member of the board of WUPPI. (The Danish PVC recycling organisation).

Paul Shipton, Smithers RAPRA
Paul Shipton is Consultancy Director of Smithers RAPRA. Prior to joining Smithers RAPRA he ran Plastics Consultancy Services. He has special interest in material selection, product development and failure diagnosis of medical devices. Paul Shipton holds doctorate in polymer technology. Previous positions include Technical Manager for Ticona UK Ltd. He has in addition been Visiting Lecturer to the School of Engineering and Built Environment, University of Wolverhampton and consultant to the Technology Innovation Centre, Birmingham City University.
His publications in material science include the innovative use of polymers.
