Roger Baynham, BPF Recycling Group Chairman
Since graduating in Business Studies Roger has spent over 25years in the plastics recycling industry, the past 18 of which have been as Managing Director of Philip Tyler Polymers . More recently he has been a Director of Environmental Recycling Technologies PLC which licenses its innovative Powder Impression Moulding process which is capable of using mixed waste polymers.
Roger is a Management Committee Member of the European Plastics Recycling Association and Chairman of the British Plastics Federation (BPF) Recycling Group . He chairs the annual BPF recycling seminars and has presented papers at plastics recycling events in the UK, continental Europe and the USA. |

Kim Christiansen, PlasticsEurope
Kim joined PlasticsEurope as Regional Director North in December 2012. He holds a master degree in economics and business administration, and has more than 20 years of experience from government departments, EU-Institutions and trade associations dealing with environmental affairs, consumer affairs, CSR and sustainability. Kim previously acted as Managing Director of the Danish Association for Cosmetics and Detergent Industries for 10 years.
Before that, he was Managing Director of a European Environment Agency Topic Centre on Waste Management, and Environment Councellor at the Permanent Danish Representation to the European Union. Kim is of Danish nationality, is married and with three daughters.

Richard Kirkman, Veolia Environmental
Richard Kirkman is Technical Director for UK & Ireland (water, energy, waste) and responsible for planning, construction and performance of new and existing infrastructure to which the company is committed to a £1 billion investment between 2013 and 2018. His remit encompasses the 8 operating ERF, 14 MRF for municipal and commercial recyclate and organic treatment. He also oversees the commodities team, the sale of 1.5Twh of energy (electricity and heat) and materials (1 million tonnes of recyclables and compost products). The main focus in the UK zone is Innovation and Performance focused on five main areas, namely thermal development, fuel and energy, materials recycling, water & biological treatments and the more novel approaches such as mining street sweepings for the precious metals.
Major initiatives include the new Southwark recycling facility which incorporates the first Central London MBT recycling plant and the opening of a pioneering treatment facilities in the West Midlands (Street Washings), Rainham (Plastics Recovery) and Fareham (Solid Fuel Recovery), as well as 4 new ERF across the UK in different stages of planning, construction, commissioning, and performance optimisation. Richard is an environmental engineer and joined the Veolia group via Dalkia (Veolia Energy) in 1994, heading up European Research & Development after gaining operational experience in its municipal and commercial energy recovery operations.

Dana Mosora, Dow Chemical
Dana Mosora holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest (Romania) and an MBA in Marketing from Colorado State University.
Her professional experience ranges from applied research in cosmetics, to consumer marketing in Colgate Palmolive and Sara Lee. With Dow Chemical since end 2007 she leads now Value Chain Engagement and Sustainability Initiatives for the European Division of Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics.

Claire Shrewsbury, WRAP
Claire has over 20 years experience of working in the environmental field. She has managed a number of government programmes that promote both environmental improvements and cost benefits to industry.
Claire is currently the Packaging Programme Area Manager responsible for the delivery of the packaging target under the third phase of Courtauld and developing infrastructure for mixed plastics sorting and processing in England.

Simon Scholes, VEKA Recycling
Simon joined VEKA Recycling Ltd, the leading UK recycler of PVC windows, in 2007 as their National Sales Manager.
He has been Business Administration Manager since 2012 and manages the business side of the company, part of the VEKA Recycling Group, the largest recycler of PVC windows in Europe.
With broad experience in this specialist sector, Simon is responsible for growing VEKA Recycling’s operations across Britain, including capturing greater volumes of PVC windows for reprocessing and increasing the availability of quality pellets for remanufacture into new products in the UK.
Simon is Chairman of the BPF’s Rigid Plastics Working Group, part of the BPF Recycling Group
