BPF Recycling Group Position Statement on Standards and Codes of Practice
BPF Recycling Group works to ensure recycled materials are not arbitrarily excluded by European Standards or Codes of Practice from applications where recycled materials will perform satisfactorily. The BPF Recycling Group is the industry voice to counter other Industry bodies that have interests in excluding recycled polymers.
The BPF Recycling Group fully supports the suite of CEN Standards for recycled plastics. The following list provides references for these standards which are available from National Standards organisations such as BSI:
- EN 15342: 2007 Characterisation of polystyrene (PS) recyclates
- EN 15343: 2007 Plastics recycling traceability and assessment of conformity and recycled content
