Summit Systems - Four Times Finalists at the PIA
Thursday, 4 August 2016
Summit Systems is delighted to announce finalist statuses for all four of its entries at this years’ Plastic Industry Awards. It will progress to the penultimate stages of the ‘Supplier Partnership – Ancillary Machinery’, ‘Best Technology Application of the Year’ and ‘Unsung Hero’ categories. Winners will be announced on Friday 30th of September at a glittering ceremony held at the London Hilton Park Lane.
Operations Director, at Summit Systems, Ian Lowe say:
“Summit Systems prides itself on forging long-term, robust relations with its customers and has entered twice this year into the ‘Supplier Partnership – Ancillary Machinery’ category.”
At biopharma equipment manufacturer Sartorius, Summit Systems devised an innovative material feed solution, that housed the main pump outside the production area in a purpose built building. This ensured low dust and noise pollution to the medical grade facility and cut energy consumption by 50%. The Summit Systems team went the extra mile by adhering to Sartorius’ stringent scheduling, organising visits to view comparable installations and providing significant product training.
The ‘Unsung Hero’ entry was for Workshop Engineer, Craig Jordan. Ian Lowe continues:
“At Summit Systems all our employees are hard-working and determined, yet Craig stands out by never giving up. Despite being diagnosed with chronic back disorder he continues to give his all. He is the friendly, helpful, solution driven face of Summit Systems. He comes to work with a smile and ensures his positive principles are adopted by those that work around him. Craig is the personification of Summit Systems values, and a true asset to the organisation.
We wish him luck in the finals!”
