The BPF introduces its Automotive Forum

The BPF introduces its Automotive Forum

The BPF is delighted to announce that, after successfully hosting its first Automotive Forum meeting, it has set up an Automotive Working Group. The initial meeting was held at the BPF House in London on 6th December 2017 and was attended by car manufacturers, moulders, material and equipment supplier and recyclers with a specific interest in the automotive sector.

Attendees included representatives for Aston Martin, Honda, JCB, Essentra Components, Big Bear, WHS, Axion Polymers, Engel, Covestro and Lyondell Bassell.

Ian Ray of Jaguar Land Rover was elected as group chair, a role that he will keep for one year before handing it over to a representative of a different industrial sector.

The Group will aim to promote and support the use of plastics in the UK automotive industry, enable collaboration between the various sectors and provide access to information, educational tools and networking opportunities.

The Group will be open to companies with a specific level of expertise in automotive, including parts producers, materials suppliers, machine manufacturers, vehicles producers, recyclers, software suppliers, consultants, designers, universities and catapults.

If interested in learning more about the group, contact Dr Sara Cammarano at [email protected]
