Top Level ADCA Briefing at BPF
Friday, 19 September 2014
The BPF hosted a high level meeting on 11th September of trade association Directors with an interest in trying to prevent ADCA having to be authorised under the REACH regulation.
The major problem has been the lack of an EU based manufacturer to help fight the cause. Jack Straw MP, former Home Secretary and Foreign Minister is taking a major interest in the case and the meeting was held to brief his assistant Daniel Sleat prior to Jack Straw going to Brussels for meetings with DG Enterprise and DG Environment.
The meeting was attended by Philip Law, Director-General of the BPF and his opposite numbers from other leading trade bodies affected by the issue. Steve Quinn from ADCA suppliers West and Senior played a prominent role in the meeting and was due to accompany Jack Straw MP to Brussels.
