UK REACH Registration Deadlines Amended

The REACH (Amendment) Regulations 2023 (SI 2023 No 722) was published on 28th June and is set to take effect from 19th July 2023.

It means businesses will be able to better plan for UK REACH registration and it enables a smooth transition towards registration requirements.  

The transitional registration deadlines have been officially extended by three years to 27th October 2026, 27th October 2028 and 27th October 2030, depending on tonnage and toxicity, outlined in Article 127P.  

It is important to take note of these updated deadlines to ensure UK REACH compliance.

Article 41 has also been updated, meaning authorities have more time to check compliance. The amended article sets targets for checking registration dossiers, with no less than 20% of the registration dossiers to be assessed by 2027, 2030 and 2035, aligning with the updated deadlines.
