UK Trade and Investment Grants

British exhibitors at foreign Trade Fairs can apply for UK Trade & Investment grants towards their stand cost (providing they meet the terms and conditions of UKT&I). Funding is available for a limited number of companies and it is allocated on first come first serve basis, so we advise to apply for it as soon as possible!

British Plastics Federation is an Accredited Trade Organisation which administers these grants on behalf of UKT&I.

From 1st August 2013 the grants amount have been increased. Also exhibitors who are new to the event can apply for up to £3,000 for high growth markets.

Eligibility to apply for grant

1   To be eligible for grant participants must meet the following criteria.  

a)    A participant must be a UK based business
b)    A participant must be an SME as defined below, a UK university, UK Government funded centre of higher or further learning, or a UK Government-funded research organisation.
c)    A participant must be a new exporter as defined below or have exported for no more than 10 years OR if not new to export it must have not exhibited at the previous edition of the show
d)    Exhibitors can apply for a max of 12 grants since 1st April 2009

Definition for Small and Medium Sized Enterprise
a)     Has less than 250 employees.
b)      Has an annual turnover not exceeding € 50m

Definition for New Exporter
During the past 12 months no more than 25% of turnover resulted from a combination of proactive and reactive exports.

Please Note:  The requirement to be a new exporter or to have been an exporter for less than ten years will be waived where the applicant has not attended the previous edition of the event.
