The Lord of the Rings by J. First printing of this deluxe edition with illustrations by Tolkien. Bound in quarter red leather over black cloth, all edges gilt, with red cloth slipcase.

Laid in are two folding maps as well as a facsimile of a letter from Aragorn to Sam which Tolkien had written for the epilogue, ultimately deciding not to include it. Book with very slight rubbing at the lower corners. One of the maps with a creased corner.
