Lord of the Rings JRR TOLKIEN 1965 Ballantine Red Box Set 3 Book 23rd Print 1969

  
This is the three book set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien. It is by Ballantine Books and they are paperback. It is the 1965 book series, Book 1 is the 23rd printing printed in 1969. Book 2 is the 21st printing, and book 3 is the 19th printing, all from 1969. The books in this set are in very good condition.

They don't look like they've ever been read. It was even hard for us to take a picture of the page with the printing date information as we didn't want to crease the cover.

The very tip of the top right corner of book number three has a tiny bend, most likely from when someone was trying to fit it back into the box. The only wear on the books themselves are on the spines where they were not protected by the box. Please see pictures for details. The box does have scuffs, primarily on the bottom and where it says Ballantine Books on the side, but on the other surfaces also. If you like vintage books please check out my store.
