Lord of the Rings Weta Workshop Crew Gift Award given to Producer Barrie Osborne

  

Incredibly rare crew gift sword presented to Barrie M Osborne, the producer of the LOTR, given to him by Richard Taylor, head of Weta Workshop (which made the weapons, armor and prosthetics for the LOTR and Hobbit movies) to thank him for his service to the Lord of the Rings production. The sword is made from real metal (I assume steel though I can not gaurantee- but it's definitely heavy). It has a beautiful etching on each side. This sword is in mint condition and has never been displayed. The only''flaw'' I could find is a little scratch as seen in photo number 9.

The last picture shows a wooden plaque that came along with the sword thanking Barry which is NOT included in this listing. It is only shown for additional provenance! This is one of 3 swords given to Barrie - One in copper, one in silver and one in gold for 10,15 & 20 years of service. Only a handful were given out since most of the people involved, went separate ways after the end of the LOTR series. I only have the golden sword left which I'm keeping with the statue/plaque for my own collection!
