These books are in very good shape- the pages, covers, binding, and colors look excellent. These books appear to have seen little to no use even as they approach their sixtieth birthday.

There is a bookstore's stamp on the inside front cover of TROTK (see picture), but otherwise there are no written markings in any of the three books. There is no sticker residue, and while TTT has some spine creasing, TROTK has much less, and TFOTR has none at all. The worst damage you'll find on the covers is a worn bit about 1 inch from the top-right corner, and a shallow vertical cut, on TROTK.

TFOTR has tiny off-white wear marks within the quarter-inch portion on the right of the front cover. The pages are just about flawless; only three pages in TROTK have a crease from being folded inwards, about a quarter-inch from the bottom-right corner.
