The Tolkien Library boxed set from the late 1970s featuring five hardcover books including The Lord of the Rings plus The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. From a smoke free and pet free home, all in very good+ condition, all bindings tight, no interior markings, minimal edgewear, clean and bright, all maps included (one fold out map glued to the back flyleaf in each book), no tears or rips, and even the cloth covered box is clean and mostly unblemished. This "Tolkien Library" boxed set was only issued once and is quite a rare find in as well kept a state as this set with its box in tact. Included in this boxed set are. The Silmarillion (which was brand new material at the time). Hardcover, first edition UK, fourth printing 1977. George Allen & Unwin Ltd.
