Limited edition #1179 of 5000, these full size exquisite steel helms represented some of the best work of United Cutlery's Lord of the Rings armor prop replicas--ultimately the quality appears to have been too costly to produce and UC abruptly suspended further development and production of the LOTR line (sadly with my pre-order for Frodo's Mithril shirt left hanging). Unknown if they ever finished the entire run of any of these helmets or how many there actually are. Peter Jackson and his team so brilliantly captured a nearly infinite array of details that had to be... Gimli's helmet, making its appearance on screen was spot-on: it was just right -- Dwarven for sure.

Having one of these helmets in hand, feeling real solidity, weight and the coolness of forged steel, the strength of the leather, putting it on your head no less, will remain something special for any fan. As shown, the numbered plaque of authenticity is fixed within the helmet. I also have not to date found the parchment descriptive COA originally supplied with helmet (additional to the metal plaque affixed within), apparently misplaced during a move. In the even it were to turn up, I will forward it to the winner, but for now best to assume it is not available.
