Winner of seventeen Academy Awards, The Lord of the Rings was brought to the big screen by New Line Cinema and directed by Peter Jackson. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films.

To celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings, the team at Weta Workshop have created a special line of polystone statues featuring Middle-earth's major characters in their signature pose and clothing. The Classic Series is Open Edition and has been tailor made to fit beautifully on your shelf. Faceless beings of fear and dread, the nine Nazgûl, or Ringwraiths, were undead servants of the Dark Lord Sauron, enslaved by their Rings of Power. Once kings of Men, their identities were lost, subsumed by their master's inexorable will. When whisper of the One Ring came to Mordor, Sauron dispatched the Nine with orders to retrieve this mightiest of weapons. Borne on dark horses and shrouded in black robes, the Wraiths galloped over countless miles to the lands of the Shire in search of their quarry.

Needing neither rest nor food, they were the ultimate hunters, ceaseless in their vigilance, drawn relentlessly by the call of the Ring. From beneath black rimmed cowls voices like knives scraped over stone repeated the same two words to any they crossed: Shire. One of the most chilling characters in The Fellowship of the Ring, captured in sculpture by Brigitte Wuest. We've recreated the classic Ringwraith portrait at the scene of Bree, complete with highly detailed fabric folds and textures.

Created in celebration of the LOTR 20th Anniversary. The 20th Anniversary of The Lord of the Rings movies has special significance to us here at the Workshop, and we are delighted to commemorate the upcoming event with a brand new series of iconic Middle-earth figures.
